EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Dr.Aswin is a distinguished oncologist with a profound commitment to improving the lives of cancer patients. Born and raised in Kanchipuram, his journey into the field of oncology was deeply influenced by his early life experiences.
From a young age, Dr.Aswin displayed a keen interest in the sciences and a genuine desire to make a difference in the world. Growing up in a middle class family, he lost his grandfather due to cancer. This inspiration led Dr.Aswin to pursue a rigorous educational path. After graduating honors from S.S.K.V Matriculation school, he went to earn a Bachelor of science in Medicine & Surgery (MBBS) from Meenakshi Medical College. His dedication and exceptional academic performance embarked his journey to become an oncologist.
It was during his clinical rotations and exposure to cancer patients that his calling became undeniable. Witnessing the resilience and courage of those battling cancer reinforced his commitment to this challenging yet rewarding field.
His thirst for knowledge led to further specialization and Dr.Aswin completed a prestigious Master’s degree in Radiation Oncology (MDRT) at Cancer Institute (WIA), Adyar, Chennai where he honed his clinical skills and developed a deep understanding of the complexities of cancer treatment. After completing his postgraduate degree, he continued to work and serve the cancer patients during which he was actively involved in research activities and publications.
He also underwent training in palliative care and Nutrition & Fitness during that period. He underwent an observership program in advanced radiation techniques like SBRT, SRS & SRT in UK. Now with years of experience, a compassionate heart and determination to make a meaningful impact, Dr.Aswin stands at the forefront of oncology care.
