LUNG CANCER

Lung cancer is a type of cancer that starts in the cells of the lungs. It is one of the most common types of cancer and a leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. There are two primary types of lung cancer: non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and small cell lung cancer (SCLC). Although chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy plays a major role in lung cancer, advanced radiation techniques like IMRT, IGRT, Rapid Arc and SABR plays a pivotal role in management. Dr.Aswin is an expert in delivering all these modalities to the patient and he underwent special training for delivering SABR in lung lesions at University of North Midlands, Stoke on Trent, UK.
